While we were gone, our children were in (many) excellent hands. It was easy to see from the multitude of smiling pictures we received that both were VERY happy. Maybe we all four of us needed a break?
Being away from each other, definitely makes you appreciate normal family life so much more! Thanks to everyone who helped us while we were gone...hopefully you are available again next year!

Anniversary Trip 2012- Day 4
The last day of our 2012 anniversary was quite. We packed our things, ate one final yummy breakfast (there were cheese blintz's with fresh mixed berries on the buffet) and took one final look at the magnificent inn in Asheville.
It's always sad to think that our special "once a year" trip alone has come and gone. But we are SO grateful for the time away and excited to do it again...only 360 more days to go!

Anniversary Trip 2012- Day 3
Sunday was our "spa day" and there is a no camera's allowed rule so I don't have too much to show for the day....but I do feel so GREAT!! We both got a treatment and then relaxed in the hot tubs, indoor mineral pool and outdoor heated pool. We have had such a nice time that I don't even mind that our trip is almost over.

BIG Magnolia Bloom
This past Tuesday, hubby came home with a perfectly HUGE magnolia bloom. Biscuit totally loved it as any daughter of mine obviously should...
After we all compared it to the size of our own heads, I put it in a vase on our dining room table. It had a wonderful fragrance and the whole family enjoyed it for the rest of the week.
Hubby knows me so well...

Gifts From My Baby Girl
Oh, how I LOVE a handmade present! And this week, my sweet baby girl has given me two gifts that she made for me at preschool.
The first gift is a flower pot that she designed herself. I love looking at all sides of the pot and seeing all the shiny stones, shells, rocks and other bits that she picked out herself just for me. Once her pot was dry, her teacher helped her plant it with a pretty pink petunia. After school on Monday, she placed the pot in my hands and asked immediately, "do you love it"? Of course I did!!
The second gift was a glitter painting of ME...green hair and all! She even had her teacher write on the side of the painting "This is my mom".
What a sweet girl my little Biscuit is...
